When not sitting in a freezing office (these Arizonans always WAY over-compensate for the ambient temperature), or staying up all night at a telescope, I build things like furniture, geometric models, and assorted electronic gadgetry. Another favourite thing to do is to read books on ancient cultures in an attempt to understand the evolution of this one. A while back, I was converted to Linux for PCs, which means I never ever have to touch another piece of software written by Microsoft, except to play mindless shoot-'em-up games.
